1. The blade and screw inside a sharpener are made up of iron. So, they are attracted to both poles of magnet.
2. We will use another magnet whose both poles are known. We will bring close the north pole to both the poles of unknown magnet. The pole which repels will be north pole. The opposite will be south pole.
3. Using magnetic keeper.
4. It will slowly lose its capacity to attract magnetic substances.
5. Stainless steel is non-magnetic in nature. So, it will not be attracted by magnets.
