Introduction

Peter Drucker published his book, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, in 1985. Just as he had systematized the practice of management in his earlier work, he set out to establish innovation and entrepreneurship as a practice and a discipline rather than as a set of qualities, personality traits, or innate abilities (Drucker, 1985). Continuing his philosophy of a functioning society of well-managed institutions, Drucker recognized that navigating change was an integral part of managing organizations of all kinds.
