As you saw in Chapter 4, you can import 3D objects and models from different 3D applications with a wide variety of formats, such as the 3DS, U3D, KMZ, and OBJ formats. But you are not limited to importing 3D objects: Photoshop includes built-in 3D shapes that you can use in your project. The built-in 3D presets in Photoshop are extendable to let you add additional 3D objects as Photoshop presets. Furthermore, Photoshop gives you multiple methods to create 3D shapes based on 2D layers or objects.
