You’ll need to choose brush settings when using the Brush tool, and also for many other tasks, such as when editing a Quick Mask or layer mask “by hand” or when using the History Brush or Healing Brush tool. In this chapter, you’ll master the Brush tool; use the Brush Preset picker and Brushes palette to customize your brush settings; smudge colors with the Smudge tool; and erase parts of a layer with the Eraser and Magic Eraser tools.
