A gradient is a soft blend between two or more opaque or semitransparent colors. Gradients can be used to enhance the background behind imagery or type or to add color to the “objects” themselves. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to create gradients via the Gradient Editor and apply gradients via a Gradient Fill adjustment layer and the Gradient tool.
