If you're a Mac user, you may be unpleasantly surprised to find the lack of an Organizer workspace within Elements 7. Now, one could argue that Mac users probably already have iPhoto installed on their systems as their image-management tool and, therefore, have no need for an Organizer workspace. That may be true, but we're here to tell you that you also have another option. With the Mac version of Elements, you are also given a powerful standalone application called Adobe Bridge to provide the Organizer functionality. Although Bridge is a standalone program, it also has the unique position of being intricately connected, or bridged, to every Adobe creative application. Bridge is extremely multifeatured, but it is also the kind of program that you can casually use to just browse for your images. Or you can delve a little deeper and use it to categorize, organize, and sort your images. Or you can take it full throttle and use all of its features such as creating PDF slideshows, Web galleries, and so on. In this chapter, we give you the basic info. You can take it from there.
