It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Accessing your application via the web server
In our development setup, we're currently running two containers, the application container itself, listening on port 8080 and an Nginx server listening on port 80 that serves static files such as the index.html and various CSS and JavaScript files. Exposing two different ports for static files and the application itself is often not recommendable in a production setup.
Because of this, we will now configure our web server container to serve a static file, when it's present (such as the index.html or CSS and JavaScript files), and to delegate the HTTP request to the application container when no actual file with the given name exists.
