So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In This Chapter
As introduced in Chapter 2, “Variables,” a second category of variables used by PHP is strings—a collection of characters enclosed within either single or double quotation marks. The value of a string variable may be a single letter, a word, a sentence, a paragraph, HTML code, or even a jumble of nonsensical letters, numbers, and symbols (which might represent a password).
