Appendix A. Programming Editors and IDEs for PHP

PHP scripts are text files that can be created and changed using any text editor. You can use your favorite tool for writing text files to write PHP scripts, including vi, Notepad, or WordPad. However, programming editors or integrated development environments (IDEs) offer features that can save you time during development. You can find information about many editors, including reviews, at www.php-editors.com.
