pgAdmin4 version 1.6 est la version actuelle de l'outil d'administration graphique éprouvé pour PostgreSQL. Il s'agit d'une réécriture complète du prédécesseur pgAdmin3. Certaines fonctionnalités de pgAdmin3 n'ont pas été portées sur pgAdmin4, bien qu'elles puissent l'être à l'avenir. Dans ce chapitre, nous nous concentrerons sur ce qui est disponible dans pgAdmin4. Une grande partie des fonctionnalités que tu trouveras dans pgAdmin4 étaient présentes dans pgAdmin3, de sorte que cette discussion sera utile même si tu utilises encore pgAdmin3. Les principaux changements apportés à pgAdmin4 par rapport à pgAdmin3 sont que pgAdmin4 prend mieux en charge les nouvelles constructions 9.6 et 10, y compris la possibilité de fonctionner en mode serveur ou bureau, un panneau de résultats de requête amélioré avec la possibilité de modifier les enregistrements et de sélectionner des lignes non contiguës, et des performances améliorées.
