Many websites exist not as a single entity but as a cluster of related sites. The sites might or might not share a domain name, but there is some relation that exists between the sites’ content or users that bring them together. Parent company websites can help support child product sites with content tie-ins. Cousin sites with similar user interests can share login account information allowing a user to access all sites with one account. There is a great deal of power that can be leveraged by having such a connection.
