5. Level Measurement

Level measurements are very important for any industry or plant as water is required everywhere, but they are specifically important for thermal power plants. All the regenerative heaters, gland coolers, ejectors, deaerators, and most important, boiler drums, require level measurements.

Some typical level measuring points for a 250 MW thermal power plant are given in Table IV/5-1.
