17.1 Plant Control

Electrical engineers work closely with other engineers on the project including the control engineers. Their work and responsibility for the plant process and automation is highly related to the electrical engineering. On many projects, the plant automation falls under the electrical discipline. Clearly, as an electrical engineer, you will not be doing their work, but you will need to know what it takes to create a plant‐wide control system and what plant interfaces are needed to implement it.
