He received his BE in electrical engineering from Andhra University, India; a DIISc in high-voltage engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and his doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
