Basic Administration
Before we dive into the intricacies of Couchbase Server administration, we must learn the number one, irreplaceable, absolutely crucial Couchbase troubleshooting technique: turning it off and on again.
On Linux, Couchbase is configured to run as a daemon during installation. The startup script is located in: /etc/init.d/couchbase-server
To start or stop the server manually, run the script with the appropriate argument:
> sudo /etc/init.d/couchbase-server [start|stop]
