10.5. Summary
When you put together all the pieces presented in this chapter, you have a powerful array of options for displaying and interacting with your reports deployed in a Report Server in integrated mode. This chapter began with an overview of the out-of-the-box ways of putting reports onto SharePoint pages and then moved into more custom approaches of displaying reports.
The discussion described several realistic business scenarios based on experience in field. The chapter also offered guidance on why you should stay away from live reporting against SharePoint content and configuration databases. As a report developer, you have many options available to you, such as using SharePoint web services and the object model to extract what you need from SharePoint.
If you have completed all the procedures in the earlier chapters of this book, you're ready to test your skills by learning how to use Reporting Services features to manage your reports and take things to the next level. That's what Chapter 11 covers.
