I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Exporting a map to an image file
You can also export the contents of the map or layout view to an image file by using one of the many functions provided by arcpy.mapping. Each image export function will differ in its name depending upon the type of image file you'd like to create. The parameters passed into the function will also vary slightly.
Getting ready
In addition to providing the ability to export data frames and the page layout to a PDF format, you can also use one of the many export functions provided by arcpy.mapping to export an image file.
