Chapter 18. Menus and Bars

None but the most rudimentary Windows application is complete without a set of menus listed at the top of the window. In addition, most modern Windows applications include pop-up context-sensitive menus, toolbars, and a status bar. A toolbar is a set of buttons that act as menu shortcuts, and the status bar provides information about the current state of the application, as illustrated in Figure 18-1.
