Expectations
The present book offers tools for conducting prefeasibility and feasibility studies, ranging from identifying risks and points of vulnerability, establishing procedures for ensuring success, and recognizing the true potential of given proposed projects, to structuring a feasibility analysis in order to make effective decisions. Risks, as any project manager knows, cannot be ignored. For example, in the case of the Québec Multifunctional Amphitheatre project (QMA), which I discuss in the introduction, a special reserve for risks was initially set at 2 million dollars (C$),37 with an additional 8 million dollars also put aside for construction contingencies (these numbers eventually changed).
