Knowledge Management: What Is It?

Knowledge resides within the minds of employees. However, employees come and go throughout the life of the company. It is desirable that knowledge resides within the company in a manner that does not necessarily depend upon the know-how of specific individuals. This is especially important in the case of a process-focused organization and is a must in the case of project-led strategic management implementation.
