Stage #5: Confirm the Results (Iterate?)

INTRODUCTION

In this chapter, we focus on the processes needed to confirm the results to date and that:

  1. The benefits that were promised in the Business Case and Benefits Management Plan are ready to be delivered
  2. The opportunity for improvement (OFI) has been exploited, its goal has been reached, or the original problem has been solved
  3. The Project Team has finalized all work activities and are ready to formally close the performance improvement project or the current Phase of the project.

If, upon completion of this Stage, there are remaining work activities for another Phase, you should iterate back up to the Align Stage as described in Chapter 5 and continue as illustrated in Figure 9.1.
