Arithmetical Analysis and Floats
Abstract
Once a network has been drafted, it must be analysed. Without a computer and in examinations, this must be done manually. This chapter discusses the common arithmetical methods for calculating the two main types of float (total and free) and the early and late starts and finishes, and finding the critical path (or paths). The use of total and free float is fully described.
