3 Project management approach to change

MOST TYPES OF PROJECTS covered in Chapter 2 will require change management. Project managers respect the need for a range of specialist disciplines on their project and a change management skill set is quite different from a project management one. However, all change managers must have at least an appreciation of project management and experienced change managers may even be expert project managers in their own right.

This overlap between skills may cause some confusion, but the essential difference between a project manager and a specialist change manager is obvious when you look at their respective priorities with regards to the project.
