14 Planning and preparing for change

IN THIS CHAPTER, THE EMPHASIS is on defining how the change manager is going to meet the objectives and work within the parameters and limitations described in the previous chapter. Once the preparations for change are complete, you will move into the planning activities - ‘bridging’ the gap between where the organisation is today and where it wants to be. In terms of the 4Ds, planning takes place during the design and develop phases and the focus is on how and by what means we are going to make change happen.
