Psychology in India: Retrospect and Prospect

INTRODUCTION
This Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) series purports not only to carry forth the work from the previous survey volumes, but also to present the debates and positions in more porous ways. All the chapters in the four volumes of this survey collectively showcase not only the progress and promising trends in psychology in India, but also reveal certain persisting limitations in research endeavours. In this concluding chapter, we seek to develop a few critical concerns central to the epistemic practices of psychology in India, in order to identify some of those developments that are likely to impact the future course of the discipline. ...
