Personnel Administration

Personnel administration, or personnel management to be precise, is an important aspect of management. A sound personnel policy is a prerequisite for an efficient management system. The objectives of personnel administration are briefly summarised in the definition of personnel administration given by A. Felix and Lloyd G. Nigro. According to them: ’Public personnel administration is the process of acquiring and developing skilled employees and of retaining them to put forth their best efforts’.1
