CLASSIFIERS IN MACHINE LEARNING

This chapter presents numerous classification algorithms in machine learning. This includes algorithms such as the kNN (k-nearest neighbors) algorithm, logistic regression (despite its name, it is a classifier), decision trees, random forests, SVMs, and Bayesian classifiers. The emphasis on algorithms is intended to introduce you to machine learning, which includes a tree-based code sample that relies on scikit-learn.

Due to space constraints, this chapter does not cover other well-known algorithms, such as Linear Discriminant Analysis and the k-means algorithm (which is for unsupervised learning and clustering). However, there are many online tutorials available that discuss these and other algorithms ...
