So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Auch wenn inotify ein mächtiges Tool ist, so hat es doch einige Beschränkungen:
–Events in den Dateisystemen sysfs und procfs werden nicht vollständig gemeldet.
–Netzwerkdateisysteme wie z. B. NFS führen Änderungen nicht unbedingt sofort aus bzw. propagieren sie zu den anderen beteiligten Hosts.
–Umbenennen von Dateien wird in zwei Events ...
