Abstract
Computer vision is one of the main fields of activity in object detection and attributes to reasoning over competent algorithms along with hardware compositions. In order to provide precise distance measurements, the Time of Flight (ToF) sensor is an essential component in object detection circumstances. The aim of this experiment is to find objects and to verify their details. This intended test was operated with a ToF sensor (VL53L0X) and a low-power Atmega328 microcontroller for hardware pursuance. The experimentation was executed by initiating the VL53L0X sensor to detect the object, and then the ESP32 camera module will be activated to capture the image of the object. Later, the YOLO algorithm was equipped to identify the substance from the captured image. The subsequent step was to send the range values from the sensor and confidence scores generated by the YOLO algorithm to ThingSpeak (a cloud-based IoT analytical platform). The system was designed to capture the image by running a rover and also to identify and analyze objects.
