Epilogue

On April 1, 2015, five years to the day since our triumphant IPO, Rick and I finally stepped down as co-CEOs of Primerica. Our good friend Glenn Williams (no relation to either Art or Rick), who had been with us through thick and thin during those incredibly tough years as the company’s president, became the new CEO.

Glenn started out in the sales force at A.L. Williams in 1981 (which means he predates even me!) and became part of the corporate team in 1983, where he rose through the ranks. In 2000, when Rick and I took the CEO chair together, Glenn stepped into the position I’d been holding as president. It was incredible to think about how much had happened in the fifteen years between those two successions.
