SketchUp Scenes

The Scene menu allows you to toggle on or toggle off specific model properties with a single click. At its simplest, it’s used to save camera views (Fig. 12.15). To access the Scenes menu, select Window ⇒ Scenes. Simply clicking the (+) button creates a tab on the top left of the screen under the main menu called Scene 1. Clicking the scene (+) button againwill continue to create more scenes, each sequentially numbered(Fig. 12.16). Clicking on the tab at any time will rotate the view back to the saved camera position.

You can control and save additional scene settings using Scene Properties in the Scene menu (Fig. 12.17). If you don’t see Scene Properties, click on the arrow at the top right of the Scene menu to make them visible (expand menu option as shown in Fig 12.15). This menu has many options, including updating, naming, and deleting scenes. The remainder of this section focuses on settings that are useful and frequently used for this book’s methods. To learn more about scene properties in general, refer to the Google SketchUp for Dummies series (Wiley) by Aidan Chopra.
