A workshop’s purpose defines why it is being held. Having an agreed-upon workshop purpose is essential for you to begin designing your workshop. A concise statement of purpose is the starting point for defining the other elements: who, how, what, where, and when. You might think that the purpose of your workshop is obvious, but often it isn’t. By asking questions of stakeholders, you often discover that the initial workshop purpose needs to be rethought.
