Resilience is put to the test when life throws you curveballs, and the situation unexpectedly seems to change for the worse. Some people are able to adapt and bounce back, and others find it harder, often succumbing to feelings of helplessness or hopelessness. The adaptive ones are able to respond effectively in the midst of this stress and to navigate through the challenges, rise above the problems, and come out of the rubble even stronger, wiser, and more confident than before. They are mentally resilient.
