The Risk Register

This chapter covers the following subjects:

No single document in risk management is more important than the risk register. It is the log of all the risks and the qualities of each risk. Although different organizations may have different versions of the risk register, ideally the register should be consistent within a given organization. The risk register is progressively elaborated, evolving over time as more information becomes available.

The longer a project goes on, the more risks are added to the register. The longer a project goes on, the more information is included to support those risks.
