Having learned the basics of how to emit and capture events within our Lightning Web Components, we can now talk about how Salesforce secures these events. In Salesforce orgs created after the Winter '23 updates, Salesforce Lightning Web Security is enabled for Aura and Lightning Web Components to enforce security best practices. We will spend the bulk of this chapter learning how Lightning Web Security (LWS) encapsulates and isolates JavaScript within our components to prevent them from accessing platform or package code.
