In this chapter, you get a chance to try out some entertainment-oriented applications that come with Mac OS X Leopard—a photo effects toy called Photo Booth, the QuickTime media player, DVD Player, and a “portable theater” called Front Row.
Photo Booth
Photo Booth is a fun application that works with a web camera, such as Apple’s iSight or a FireWire DV video camera, to take still images. You can use Photo Booth to take a normal photo, or you can apply a visual effect to produce a photo with surreal colors, distortion, or animation effects, as shown in Figure 7.1.
