So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Appendix A. Updating Drupal
Periodically, Drupal checks for updates to modules and themes. Depending on your settings, you may see messages about downloads. You can also go to Administer, Reports, Status Report (admin/reports/status) to check the updates.
Before proceeding, back up your Drupal installation files and the database. It is also a good idea to take the site offline.
Download and install the updates where the original files were installed. You will be replacing the existing folder for the theme or module: There might be more or fewer files within the new folder. To be absolutely safe, totally remove the old module folder and move the new one into its place.
