SAP liveCache Technology
SAP liveCache technology is used in SAP SCM solutions. It is a memory-resident database technology based on MaxDB technology. This technology allows for real-time access of high data volumes with high performance. SAP liveCache can be installed using the SAPinst tool. From the list of SAPinst stand-alone engines, select the liveCache installation option, as shown in Figure 8-1. The other stand-alone install options are also discussed in this chapter.
