So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
BRBACKUP Configuration
Before using the BRBACKUP tool, some basic configuration has to be performed. This is done in the initialization parameter file for BRTOOLS called init<SID>.sap. You can find the file in the /oracle/<SID>/102_64/dbs directory. For example, in a SAP system with SID KB2, the initialization parameter file initKB2.sap for BRTOOLS is located at /oracle/ KB2/102_64/dbs. Figure 21-1 shows an example of the initialization file for BRTOOLS (initKB2_weekly.sap) that is configured for a weekly full, online backup to disk with the backups written to /oracle/KB2/sapbackup/weekly.
