Process Flow of a Heterogeneous System Copy
The key steps when performing a heterogeneous system copy are generating the migration key, exporting the source system, and installing and importing data into the target system. Each of these steps will be discussed in detail in the following sections.
Generating the Migration Key
When performing SAP migrations, you need to register and get a migration key from https://service.sap.com/migrationkey. Then click the Request Migration Key button as shown in Figure 28-1.
