How to do it...
In order to understand the process of generating a probability density function and calculating the associated probabilities, let us consider the following example:
A curve follows a normal distribution with mean 0 and standard deviation 1. What is the probability that the value of the normal distribution is between 0.5 and 1?
In order to solve this scenario, we need to perform the following steps:
- Generate the numbers associated with the given pdf and see where most of the numbers fall in the distribution.
- Assess the probability of the numbers being between 0.5 and 1 if they are generated as per the distribution.
