01: Assigning a RAW Profile
You want a better starting place for your RAW photo than Adobe’s default Adobe Color setting, so go to the top of the Basic panel (the Edit panel in Lightroom cloud), and from the Profile pop-up menu, try Adobe Landscape or Adobe Vivid as your profile, unless you’re editing a portrait, in which case, choose Adobe Portrait. I wind up choosing Adobe Landscape most of the time, but of course, like everything in image editing (say it with me now . . .), it just depends on the photo. So, try both Adobe Landscape and Adobe Vivid and chances are one of those two will look better than Adobe Color.
