Hour 2. Creating Your First Project

By now you have an idea as to what Scratch is all about, and you’ve also become a member of the Scratch community by creating a user account. What’s next?

In this hour we’ll start by familiarizing ourselves with the Scratch Project Editor, which is the primary interface for creating Scratch projects. Because Scratch 2.0 is a cloud-based application, you must have an active Internet connection in order to develop projects by using the online Project Editor. No matter, though, because we’ll learn how to use the Scratch Offline Editor in Hour 18.
