Hour 4. Using Motion Blocks

In this hour we’ll become fully acquainted with the methods that Scratch 2.0 gives us to move sprites around the Stage. We used a few of the Motion blocks in previous hours, but now is the time to take our understanding to the proverbial next level.

Log into the Scratch Web site and fire up a new, blank project. Rename the Scratch Cat to Cat (you remember how to do that, right?), and let’s spend a moment getting to know the blocks in the motion palette of the Scripts pane.

As per usual, use Figure 4.1 as a reference as I give you the “what’s what” in Table 4.1:
