Abstract

There has been a significant increase in the use of agricultural robots in recent years. Population growth, rapid urbanization, great demand for high-quality goods, scarcity of skilled workers, and preserving the environment are some major challenges conquered by the continual advances in agricultural robotics. In agriculture, robots help quickly complete repetitive tasks, improving crop yields. Robots can be effectively employed to lessen the work of farmers and relieve them from the tedious tasks, such as sowing, harvesting, picking, and disposal of Agri-waste farming. Farming was and still is a labor-intensive human sector in many parts of the world. Globally, agriculture employs almost 870 million people. It is one of the most susceptible industries to automation. This paper mainly focuses on the scope of the use of robots in the agricultural industry. We also look into the current methods for preparing the ground before growing, seeding, reaping, and measuring yield.
