About the Authors

Dr. Michael J. McGrath is a senior researcher at Intel Labs Europe. He has been with Intel for 14 years, holding a variety of operational and research roles. His areas of interest include ambient and body-worn sensor applications, networking technologies, mobile technologies, and data management techniques. Michael was previously a principle investigator at the TRIL Centre, where his research focused on the development of technologies to support independent living.
