So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Our Choice
As discussed in the first chapter, this book uses Bun,[20] TypeScript,[21] and Hono.[22] This combination meets all the criteria described previously.
Elysia is also an excellent TypeScript-based choice.
The image depicts the partnership between Bun and htmx. Carson Gross, the creator of htmx, has produced many similar images. The bunny on the left represents Bun and the bison is the unofficial htmx mascot.
Once you choose the tech stack that’s right for you, you’ll be ready to move on to the next chapter. There we’ll learn how to define HTTP endpoints that are well-suited for use with htmx.
