Making the Move – Migration Options and Considerations
In order to bridge the classic/modern (C/M) divide, we must be prepared to leave the past behind and boldly embrace the future. In Chapter 1, we looked at all the new capabilities in modern SharePoint sites and pages. Our plan should be to always use modern for anything new. However, we may need to pack up our old sites and drag them kicking and screaming across the divide. This chapter is the last that will focus on classic SharePoint. In order to leave classic behind, we need to get ready for a SharePoint migration.
