When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to define what success means to you
When I say success, what do you think of? Perhaps your interpretation of success is financial, such as buying a house, moving abroad or providing for your family. Perhaps success to you is emotional, such as feeling a sense of security, being fulfilled by your work or reaching goals. I hope it’s a mixture of the two – loving what you do, plus reaping financial rewards from it.
The truth is, there’s no one definition of success. As a society, we’ve come to attach a huge amount of meaning to the tangible, material signs of success, like getting on the property ladder, wearing head-to-toe Lulu Lemon or driving a nice car, but even people who have achieved these things in plenty still don’t feel ...
