Inheriting an existing team is sort of like being a dentist with a patient who hasn't been to see a dentist for about twenty years, and various teeth are starting to hurt. You're going to have to do three things:

  1. A detailed inspection and X-ray. Figure out where the problems are: what teeth are solid; what teeth need repairs, and which teeth just need to be pulled out and replaced.
  2. A lot of drilling to remove rotted areas.
  3. Fillings and porcelain inlays to fill in the big gaps left by all the drilling.
